Jul 10 — Friends, Joule will close early this evening (Thursday, July 10) to host a private event. Our dining room will close at 4pm and our coffee bar will close at 5pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and invite you to join us for normal business hours tomorrow, July 11th.
Jul 8 — Have you heard about our event at Poole's this Sunday? We'll be hosting our 2014 Summer Stir the Pot event at Poole's on Sunday, July 13th. Stir the Pot was conceived as a way to bridge our community with others through shared food and fellowship; for each installment, we invite an out-of-town chef to come to Raleigh as part of a special two-night experience. This Sunday, July 13th we're bringing TWO chefs: Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman, of Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen and Hog & Hominy in Memphis, Tennessee. They'll be preparing a tasting menu at Poole's on Sunday, starting at 7pm. Seating is limited. Tickets on sale here. On Monday July 14th, we invite you to join us in one of our favorite time-honored traditions: the Southern potluck. Starting at 7pm at CAM Raleigh, we will celebrate our guest chefs by preparing a main dish, and we invite you to bring a dish to share. Tickets may be purchased here.
Jul 5 — Friends, we will be closing early Monday, July 7 for a private event. Our dining room will close at 4pm, followed by our coffee bar at 5pm. We will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, July 8th.
Apr 12 — We are delighted to welcome André Hueston Mack of Mouton Noir wines to Joule this Wednesday, April 16th. André's wines embrace the playful side of the wine world with labels like O.P.P (Other People's Pinot), and Horseshoes and Hand Grenades... but it's more than the shtick that compels us to the wines of Mouton Noir. The wines are true to place, and incredibly well balanced. We can't wait to share them with you. The event is $35 per person (including tax and gratuity) and begins at 7:30pm sharp. Apr 10 — Our new spring menu has hit the board! We are armed and ready for all your beverage cravings this new season will bring.

Jan 4 — We are so excited to announce that we are now open Sunday nights until 10pm, serving crafted coffees, cocktails and our evening menu just for you.
Dec 27 — On New Year's Eve, Joule will be open from 7am until 10pm. Beginning at 5pm, we will be serving a special three-course menu to ring in the New Year. The price per person is $39++, with choices for each course. Matt Fern and the crew have whipped up some exciting new cocktails, and we'll have great beer and wine selections (with an extra nod to sparkling) on offer as well! Joule is an ideal spot for groups, and we can't wait to host you and your friends on New Year's Eve. For reservations to the Joule New Year's Eve dinner, email email@example.com. On New Year's Day, Joule will open at 7am for coffee and breakfast, and at 10am we'll begin our new tradition of New Year's Day Brunch! This meal will feature our standard brunch menu, plus some New Year's Day classics, such as braised Heritage Farms pork, collard greens, Hoppin' John (made from Sea Island red peas and Carolina Gold rice), and cornbread! We'll serve New Year's Day brunch until 4pm, so come down whenever you feel like it!
Dec 18 — Come join us Thursday, December 19 at 7pm as we unveil the Carolina Ballet's Official Photographer, Tim Lytvinenko's new book recapping the 15th Anniversary season of Carolina Ballet. Joule will be creating a special holiday themed cocktail for the evening, and there will be prints for purchase and the limited edition book available to order.
Dec 18 — Joule Coffee will be open on Christmas Eve from 7am until 9pm! Stop by and celebrate the holiday with us.
Dec 12 — Joule Coffee will be closed this evening, 12/12 for a private event. We apologize if this changes your coffee/food/booze plans for this evening. We will reopen tomorrow for regular service beginning at 7am.
Nov 26 — Joule will be serving brunch on Black Friday! We will be open for regular business hours on Friday, and offering brunch from 10am-3pm.
Nov 25 — Happy Thanksgiving! Joule will be open for coffee, pastry and light fare from 7am to noon on Thursday. Join us for dine-in or take out on Thanksgiving.
Nov 7 — Shhh...it's a secret! Don't tell anyone, but we're hosting our friends at Mother Earth Brewery of Kinston, NC to offer up a sneak preview of their annual batch of Silent Night Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout two days before its official release! Come out and meet the minds responsible for this amazing beer, including Mother Earth Brewmaster Josh Brewer and the team of master coffee roasters from Counter Culture Coffee, who each year provide us with a special coffee blend exclusive to Silent Night. There will be free samples of 2013 Silent Night available, as well as 8oz pours of 2012 Silent Night available for purchase (it's been aging nicely!) This special event gets started at 6pm, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Nov 7 — We may serve coffee but who doesn't love pickles, pigs or whiskey? On November 25th, please plan to join us as we host our dear friend John Currence to celebrate the release of his much anticipated cookbook. Stay tuned for details on this special event!
Oct 18 — From the Bar: Bichon Freeze...a frozen cocktail that riffs on a classic greyhound with additional notes of citrus and elderflower.
Oct 17 — From the Kitchen: Braised Short Rib with Jarlesberg cheese, pepper jelly, and whole grain mustard on grilled sourdough has been making folks reeeeeeal happy.
Oct 16 — Featured Bean: Biloya...A natural sundried coffee from Ethiopia with fluffy body, stone fruit acidity, and blueberry jam notes. You can try a shot and a pourover side by side.
Sep 1 — We'll be open Labor Day serving coffee and pastries 7am-10am with brunch from 10am-3pm. See you then.

This Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (For the Holiday) we'll be serving brunch from 10AM-3PM.
We're closed Tuesday Sept 3rd,
re-opening Sept 4th with full hours, dine-in breakfast, all-day menu, and cocktail service.
