November Features at Chuck’s

November is here, the air is crisp, and it's time for a new round of features at Chuck's! We hope to see you this month for these exciting new offerings.

  • The Big Al: An homage to the smash-style burgers at Al's Burgers in Green Bay, Wisconsin, this burger is a beast. We grill onions on the flat-top and then smash them between two burger patties (that's 8 ounces of chuck, y'all), then top it with American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, yellow mustard and mayo.
  • Reuben's Dog: The classic Reuben sandwich has been reimagined in hot dog form. We slice each dog and season it with pastrami spice, sear it, then cover it with quick-pickled sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese, whole grain mustard, and Russian dressing.
  • Pumpkin Pie Shake: We know, we know--everything has been infected with pumpkin spice lately. We're not trying to pile on, just paying respects to the Thanksgiving classic, pumpkin pie, by throwing it in a milkshake. Pro move: spike this one with a shot of rum.

Monthly Features: Chuck’s

We're extra pumped about a few features that the kitchen team has been working on over at Chuck's. These items will be available starting today and through the month of October!

  • bluehawaii-150x150The Blue Hawaiian: Our chuck patty is topped with Buttermilk blue cheese, crispy onions and pineapple-habanero chutney. Kitchen manager Chris Tobin was inspired by the mango chutney at Indio on Glenwood.
  • lavadog-150x150Lava Dog: It's State Fair season, so we're getting in the mood with our take on a corn dog. Added bonus: a molten interior of American cheese.
  • cinnamontoastcrunch-150x150Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake: For this shake, we make cinnamon toast using croissants from our sister spot, Joule, then blend them with vanilla ice cream and milk.

Well, get a hold of these bad boys! This week's features are available through Tuesday, September 20th at Chuck's Burgers.

chickenfriedburgerChicken-Fried Burger: Our 100% chuck patty is breaded and deep-fried until golden brown, then topped with white pan gravy and blanched green beans. Grandma would be proud.

Hopscotch Hours and Offerings


Tomorrow, the Hopscotch Music Festival returns to downtown Raleigh, and we couldn’t be more pumped! As you frolic between shows, we hope you’ll stop in and visit us for concert-going sustenance. Here's the rundown of hours and offerings within the AC Restaurants universe.

Poole’s Diner

Open nightly from 5pm to midnight. Join us for a post-show macaroni au gratin at the bar, or try our latest feature, steak carpaccio with onion rings, marinated peppers and béarnaise aioli. Follow @poolesdiner to keep up with weekend offerings

Joule Coffee & Table

Open daily from 7am to 7pm. As in past years, we’re excited to feature our Hopscotch inspired cocktail menu through the weekend! We’re also offering a few selected grab-and-go food items at the coffee counter for those on the move. Think biscuit sandwiches and pimento cheese on buttermilk bread. Death & Taxes

Fox Liquor Bar

On Friday, Fox turns FIVE! Come celebrate with our latest tapped cocktail, white sangria, featuring apple brandy, white wine, and ginger. We’ll also be pouring Ferrari shots from the tap, plus all the other cocktail favorites. Open daily from 5 pm to 2 am. Follow @foxliquorbar to keep up with weekend offerings.

Beasley’s Chicken & Honey

Have you feasted on our OG chicken sandwich? Grab one this Hopscotch weekend. Open Thursday and Friday from 11:30 to midnight, Saturday from 11 to midnight, and Sunday from 11 to 10pm. Follow @beasleys_raleigh to keep up with weekend offerings.

Job: Grill cook, trainer at Beasley's + Chuck's

Hometown: Greensboro, North Carolina

How long have you worked at the Cornershop? 11 months

Favorite team memory?

I really loved the AC Restaurants holiday party. I knew that Ashley [Christensen] was a fun person, but that night was when I really understood the company philosophy of "work hard, play hard"--she made an ice luge out of a giant block of ice and then poured shots for anyone who wanted one. That was great.

What do you like about your job?

The atmosphere, the people. I like coming in on Saturdays, it’s really busy, everyone’s on point, working as a team. We joke around, but everyone knows the limit and when to get to work.

When you’re not working, you’re probably….

Hanging out with my brother and sister. And bowling. I’ve been bowling a lot lately.

What would you tell a visitor to do while in Raleigh?

I'd definitely suggest that they walk around downtown, maybe hit the Museum of Science. And go to an NC State football game!

What’s your favorite thing on the menu?

At Beasley’s, the chicken biscuit; the Spirit Animal at Chuck’s; and anything with bourbon at Fox.

Your secret talent is?

I love to make people laugh.
