December Book Signings

The clock is ticking and there are only a few more chances left to get your copy of the Poole's cookbook signed by chef Ashley Christensen. Please join us at one of the following local book signings.

December 10, 10 am to 2pm: Bridge Club Holiday Market, Bridge Club, Raleigh Join us at Bridge Club, AC Restaurants' private events space, for a special Holiday Market featuring some of our favorite local vendors. Chef Ashley Christensen and our executive pastry chef, Andrew Ullom, will each be giving cooking demos, and we’ll be selling signed copies of the Poole’s cookbook, as well as gift certificates to all the AC Restaurants properties. Come grab a mimosa and get your holiday shopping done! Participating vendors include: HAAND Ceramics, Peppertrain Beads, Farmer's Daughter, Videri Chocolate, o2 Fitness, and Short Stack Editions. Free to attend, RSVP here.

December 11, 2pm: Book signing with Short Stack Editions, Quail Ridge Books, Raleigh Get your copy of the Poole's cookbook signed by Ashley at this meet and greet event. Free to attend.

December 13, 5 to 7:30 pm: Book signing at Poole's Diner, Raleigh In honor of the Poole's 9-year anniversary, we'll be tipping back some champagne and signing some books at the counter where it all began.

December 17, 2 to 3:30pm: Book signing, Page 158, Wake Forest Get your copy of the Poole's cookbook signed by Ashley at this meet and greet event. Free to attend.

December 17, 6 to 8pm: Book signing, Whisk, Cary Get your copy of the Poole's cookbook signed by Ashley at this meet and greet event. Free to attend.

Fish Stew Rescue at Poole’s

We're honored to be participating in Fish Stew Rescue at Poole's Diner this week. This nationwide initiative organized by Chef & the Farmer chef Vivian Howard is raising money for hurricane relief in Eastern North Carolina through a humble dish: fish stew. We'll be serving our take on the dish (which features shrimp, oysters, rock fish, new potatoes, bacon, tomatoes and a poached egg) all week--the proceeds will be donated toward this important effort.

Event Recap: Share Our Strength Dinner Raises $139K

It doesn't take giant banquet halls or fancy parties to make a big difference. All you need is some good food and a community that cares.

Last night at Poole's Diner, we were honored to host our sixth annual dinner for Share Our Strength, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in our country. It's a vitally important cause, and one that we are proud to be a part of. And through the generous support of this community, we were able to raise just shy of $140,000 that'll go towards making sure that children in North Carolina always have access to a meal.

We want to thank our guest chefs who joined us at Poole's last night--Joe Kindred, Nancy Silverton, Michael Fojtasek, Hillary Sterling, and Phoebe Lawless--who prepared incredibly delicious dishes for our attendees and donated their time and energy to join us. Huge thanks also to Matt Fern, who joined us to pour some delicious wine. We'd also like to thank our amazing team at Poole's, who volunteered their Sunday evening to help us put on this event.

We feel lucky every day be a part of such an amazing city and feel honored by the chance to give back.
